Reminising about Old Times!

Well, really old times!  The Freemason's Naval Lodge No. 4 had a formal dinner in honor of Brother Foos and Brother Denham who fought in the civil war.  Isaiah, one of the mason brothers, found meeting minutes from over 150 years ago, including logs about these brothers who fought in the civil war. To commemorate these Freemasons who fought for their country, we had a party in their honor!

Can you recognize that silhouette?

To create affordable table settings with flair, I created silhouettes of famous Civil War men.  Using decorative paper from Paper Source and ikea frames, we turned a 2 dollar project into a centerpiece!

Isaiah made all the food by himself!

Presetting the salads allowed us to add some color to the table.  In addition to the great party, each party guest received a 20 oz. pint glass with the Naval Lodge No. 4 logo!

Real scenes from the Civil War! With the help of my wonderful boyfriend, we created mini battle scenes on each table.

The meeting minutes, a civil war sword and a photo of the brave brothers.

Thank you to the Naval Lodge for letting me be a part of this special occasion!  I look forward to our next event and next year's party!
