1 year to go!

Danny and I are officially starting the T-1 year countdown to our wedding! We did so with a few close friends this weekend with a small party at our place.  Lucky us, our friend Ben was in town from Denver!  He was pretty much the reason Danny and I are together and the photographer of our first kiss...ahem...make out session.  If it weren't for Ben for introducing me to the hash and/or PBR and tequila shots, Danny and I may not be starting our lives together! :)

Since I recently scheduled my flowers for our wedding, I really wanted to play with some of the more interesting ones.  I went to Little Shop of Flowers, which was pretty expensive but well worth it for these beauties!

I bought the mason jar vases at Paper Source- matching our yellow and green theme and tying in Danny's southern roots.  These were a perfect precursor for our wedding!

Everyone had a great time...maybe too good of a time- we killed a bottle of Jack Daniels (for Jacqueline and Daniel) in a few short hours...

Danny's Plane Ride

A few weeks ago, Danny and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary of dating.  I wanted to get him something special and unique- so instead of a boring old tie (oh wait...he got 2 of those too)...I got him a plane ride in a Bi-Plane.  Last weekend we drove way north to the Chesapeake and Danny flew his plane!

Most planes were able to be moved by one guy just pulling or pushing it out of the hanger.  This authentic 1942 biplane was a little heavier and needed this cute little car to help it out.

Whirlwind Week

I have been a terrible blogger, not updating once a week, as I intended.  As work and outside activities pile up toward the end of the year, we are just getting busier and busier. So I'll post a few today to make up for what has been going on!

Last weekend we went to Homestead Farm in Poolesville, MD.  We do this every year- for the past 4 years and have had a blast each time!  We do it around our anniversary and we celebrated 5 years of dating this year!
